FAQs

FAQs

Q: What is chiropractic care?

A: Chiropractic is a natural healthcare specialty that focuses on diagnosing and treating disorders of the nervous, muscular, and skeletal systems of the body. It uses manual manipulation, soft tissue massage, and other adjunctive therapies to help you function better, reduce pain, and improve overall health.

Q: Is it safe?

A: Absolutely! Dr. Lamb will customize his treatment specifically for you to ensure that you are comfortable and receiving the proper care for you desire. Throughout your care plan you will be provided additional guidance as needed regarding lifestyle habits such as exercise, nutrition, posture, and stress management that can help support your progress. Chiropractic care is also non-invasive and medication-free, making it a safe and effective way to manage your musculoskeletal issues.

Q: How often do I need treatment?

A: The frequency of your treatments will vary based on your individual condition(s) and what your body needs. Many patients see considerable improvement after one or two appointments, while others may require more visits during the initial acute period, or potential flare-ups of their symptoms. Dr. Lamb will work with you to develop a personalized plan for your care that meets your specific needs.

Q: What can I expect during a new patient visit?

Upon entering the office, if you have not already done so, you will receive the new patient paperwork package.  This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition, as well as other pertinent information related to your care. Some of these forms can be completed at home prior to your visit, we would be happy to walk you through that process when you call to schedule your appointment.

Dr. Lamb will then briefly go over your current condition(s) and any relevant medical history with you, as well as any concerns you may have. From there the physical exam portion of the appointment will begin. This will include taking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, etc.), specific orthopedic and neurological tests (range of motion testing, muscle strength tests, neurological integrity), and any other necessary evaluations. Dr. Lamb will then go over the findings with you, lay out possible treatment options, and answer any questions.

Q: Does insurance cover chiropractic care?

A: Many insurance plans provide coverage for chiropractic care, although this can vary depending on your specific policy. Check with your insurance carrier to find out what is covered under your plan.
